COURSE DESCRIPTION

Introduction to Using EMDR Therapy with Kids with Ease is for fully trained EMDR Therapy clinicians who want to learn how to begin to utilize EMDR Therapy with children. This on-demand course focuses on how to tailor the 8 phases of EMDR Therapy to fit the developmental level of child clients, along with addressing cultural concerns, common mistakes, stuck points, and use of telehealth. Multiple instructional videos, handouts, and interactive learning assessments are included in the course, so participants may quickly apply learning to clinical work.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By completing this advanced course, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe how each of the 8 Phases of EMDR Therapy are applied to work with children.
  2. Describe client readiness as it applies to children.
  3. Identify 3 techniques to utilize Resource Development and Installation.
  4. Demonstrate skills to utilize when reprocessing becomes stuck or blocked with children.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT

Any mental health provider who has completed EMDR Basic Training.

Beginning level
Appropriate for all mental health professionals who are trained in EMDR therapy.
